The gap between rural and urban education remains large in China. In addition to poor physical conditions and the lack of teaching facilities, the shortage of teachers and the lack of training opportunities for rural teachers are also major challenges that many rural schools face. A school requires a dedicated principal and a team of excellent teachers in order to improve its teaching quality.
Our teacher training program includes a series of seminars, visits to museums and university campuses, and other activities. Taught by experienced experts from city schools, the seminars offer rural teachers useful teaching methods and skills for different disciplines. Experts share their experience with rural teachers on how to work with students of different backgrounds and learning styles. We have held 8 training programs over the past 8 years. More than 1,500 teachers from Tianjin and Guizhou participated in our training. Many trained teachers also became our volunteers and actively assist us implement programs in their local communities.
A great teacher can change a child’s life. A better-trained teacher can benefit hundreds of children each year. You can help by enabling more teachers to participate in our training program.
